The Z Fold 8 is the best form factor I have ever tried. The battery life is great, and the screen is much brighter. This is the best phone from Samsung.

I like the design of the Fold8, the inner screen looks really good too, the size makes it very usable and convenient. The phone appears to be very responsive to, would really like to change to this form factor.

The best form factor from Samsung so far. I've been using Samsung phones for more than 15 years, and this is the first time a wider phone has made so much sense to me. I read a lot of articles and like staying connected with people, and the wider outer screen is genuinely great for that. I can glance at the phone and see the important information without constantly moving my eyes from top to bottom. I've never liked how ridiculously tall and long phones have become, so this form factor feels refreshing. And when I want more screen, I just open it. It's great for showing photos to family and friends, sharing stories from hikes and travels, watching documentaries, or learning something new. Interestingly, I use the phone closed about 70% of the time. For me, that's the real awesome factor. The big inner screen isn't the main reason I like this phone; it's an added benefit when I need it. Coming from the S25 Ultra, I definitely feel like I've lost a little of the camera awesomeness, and in that respect it can feel like a downgrade. But it's a trade-off I'm happy with. The form factor, the wider screen, and especially how the phone feels in my hand make it worth it. Samsung finally made a foldable where I love using it closed just as much as open.

At just 201g, it's the lightest book-style foldable yet and feels much more pocketable. Folded: Wide and compact like a passport — the 5.5-inch cover screen is way more usable one-handed for texting, scrolling, and quick tasks. Unfolded: The 7.6-inch inner screen has a near 4:3 ratio that's excellent for videos, YouTube, Netflix, and browsing with fewer black bars. The crease is much less noticeable thanks to new Flex Titanium tech, and the hinge feels solid. It’s fun to open and close. Some people might still find the thickness or sharp corners slightly awkward in tight pockets, but overall it's a huge improvement in everyday comfort.

Absolutely fantastic phone. The Z Fold 8 folds, unfolds, and occasionally reminds me that apparently my bank account is also capable of folding. The screen is gorgeous, the performance is ridiculously smooth, and multitasking is so good that I can now procrastinate on three apps simultaneously. Build quality feels premium, cameras are great, and the whole phone screams “I have my life together” which is impressive considering I bought it mainly to show people that it folds. Battery life? It exists. Price? Also exists. Worth it? Absolutely, if you enjoy premium technology and making financially questionable decisions. 10/10. Would fold again. 📱

The crease/hinge is barely visible based on the previous models and I actually love the display size. There's also a noticeable improvement in the battery life and durability from the fold 7.

I love flip because it fits in all my small purses and my pocket in my scrubs. I have noticed a much faster processing capacity and smoother opening from beinf closed. I was hesistant to upgrade this time around since I knew there weren't a lot of changes made from Z flip 7 which I most recently had. But I'm glad I chose to upgrade since this one feels better in a lot of ways: processing speed, weight, screen folding etc. I'm excited to explore more of this phone and get more out of it. This is my 4th Z Flip the size is perfect for pockets, the main screen is protected by the clam fold it's lighter, the hinge is smoother, the "crease" is almost non existent! Colours are better this year too. Linked to all my other devices seamlessly especially my Mini! Battery also lasting longer, always use battery protection so never charge beyond 85% you can now choose your protection level also. Much more responsive and love the prompt features and AI spam alerts. It feels slimmer but still durable and substantial. You won't be disappointed!

Just a normal person reporting. This phone isn't better out of the box, in my case you have to go to the provider website for the esim which disjoints you from the set up. There is no discernable upgrade for this phone that i can tell. In fact, the color feels matte and not shiny. Everything feels like a downgrade aestheticly. I am not techie so saying how it is perceived. It's about the same size and depth. No real changes with waterproofing or dustproofing. Same camera as far as I can tell. Not impressed. If you don't need a new one, don't buy it. If you are like me and need a flip phone, I'm considering Motorola. Which is exactly what I think Samsung wants.

The 8 does have decent updates; however, these updates are more so for convenience rather than needs for increased usability. For me personally, I could've gone without the upgrade to the 8. I only upgraded due to the rumors of this being the last flip so I wanted to make sure I had the latest version if this were to be true. I think if you enjoy the flip 7 and don't need or can't afford the upgrade, then you're good and aren't missing out on much.

The Flip8 fits in my pockets so much better than my last small galaxy S24. And, I enjoy the retro feeling of flipping the phone open! The Flip8 may not have noticeable advancements from my last S24, but I am enjoying the style. The screen is great. The battery life is good, but not a huge improvement over other new phones. That would be my only criticism. It's all about the compact size for me. Please don't stop making Flips! And, please keep making phones in light colors. It's easier to find in a bag.

I have had the samsung flip 4, flip 6 and just upgraded to flip 8. I have loved all of them. The samsung flip 8 is thinner and the display is really sharp. Although I have not had much time with it, I am enjoying it so far. There does seem to be a few bugs I am having to work out which I have never experienced before. I am not very good with technology so it is taking me some time with the help of AI. The phone shows that it is off line sometimes and the airplane mode comes on. That has been frustrating. All in all, I hope to work out the bugs and enjoy this phone as much as my previous flip phones.

I wanted to use it a couple weeks before I had a verdict and honestly I love it. I really enjoy all the different ways you can use the flip and find myself using the front screen for more than I thought I would. I love the fingerprint scanner it's so fast and the screen when open is perfect for my Netflix. The fact that I can flip it closed and it will fit in my shirt pocket just is so helpful when my hands are full. I had the option to switch back if I wanted to for cheaper to a bar type phone and I decided nope I just like the flip too much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am upgrading from a Samsung Galaxy Z flip 6 to a Samsung Galaxy Z flip 8 and the differences are very impressive. The camera is much improved and the battery life feels a lot better. I love the amount of care and thought Samsung gave to the external screen, what you can do now on the outside is so impressive it's almost like having two phones in one. The color is also very nice with the pink tone. Also the opening and closing now is much better than before it has a more satisfying click when it opens and closes. Samsung also continues to do an incredible job with the crease in the screen when the Z Fold 8 is opened.

I'll miss the S-Pen that came with the Ultra. It made filling out forms on my phone easier. But this is better for me. I needed something more compact and lightweight; which it is. When open, it is lighter than my Ultra 24. Much more comfortable to hold while reading; no cramping up, or in my pocket when going for a walk. Time to customize my phone!
